Here are some pictures from what everyone here was calling, "Snowmageddon 2012":
It started coming down hard and fast!
Ty just sat at different windows watching it fall. He was OBSESSED with it!
(notice this nice green tree to the right? Keep that in mind.)
Before we knew it, our yard was covered.
This was our view Wednesday morning - about 10 inches accumulation at our house.

Our neighborhood.
Did we mention he was/is obsessed?
We also had a chance to hang out with our amazing neighbors, the Fouts Family! I met Carole and her beautiful daughter, Arizona, back in September. Her husband, Ian, just got home last week from a year deployment in Korea. This is Arizona enjoying the snow.
He seriously couldn't get enough!
Some of the teenagers in the neighborhood built this 4 person igloo.

Thanks Carole, Ian, and Arizona for helping keep us sane and for being up for exploring in this crazy weather. We are blessed to have neighbors are great as you guys!
So how did we use our snow days aside from playing in the snow you might ask? Crafting from Pinterest of course! I had a number of different projects running around in my head that I just had not gotten to yet, so with all of this extra time on our hands, CR and I got to work!
First, I bought a window on Craigslist, a few knobs on clearance at Anthropology, and some fabric and scrapbooking paper at JoAnn's Fabric, which combined to make a coat rack for our entry way.
CR hard at work drilling .
1) The final product!

4) Painted the inside of a drawer with chalkboard paint to write our menu on.
5) Decoupaged an "R" with an old KY road map (Thanks Carole)!
And when Ty was forced to come inside and thaw out, he was all bundled up and made cozy.

So yeah, it's officially winter here in Washington, but it's beautiful, we are warm, and we couldn't ask for better friends.
So...That's what's happened in our last week here in a nutshell! Hope all is well with all of you! Stay warm and thank God for all you have...Take care :)
